Today many people consult alternative mind and health practitioners and some people visit hyonotists and hypnotherapists. While they work with the mind in many wonderful ways, it is now possible to use the mind for a much more effective technique of self-healing. Dr. Kearney is a self-healing therapist who teaches people to use their inner mind, while asleep or in deep relaxation, to improve, correct, or heal emotional, physical, and cognitive (thought) difficulties. This highly advanced and completely original procedure works far better than hypnosis or hypnotherapy, two specialties in which the doctor originally trained, and which were practiced with recognized proficiency and success. After doing hypnotherapy procedures for a number of years, and after doing original mind research studies in a manner which had never been done before, the doctor developed healing methods that achieve better results than the older techniques. So what's the difference between a self-healing therapist, a hypnotist, and a hypnotherapist? In practical terms, the hypnotistusually refers to an individual who uses hypnosis for a limited form of therapy called suggestion therapy. For example, let's say you wish to give up eating junk food and you visit a hypnotist. The hypnotist would guide you into hypnosis and then give you a series of suggestions to be absorbed by the subconscious mind. This process helps to reprogram your inner motivation & hopefully help you change your behavior. Afterward you expect to eliminate or reduce your junk food habit. (The hypnotist however never addresses the deep emotional issues that have prevented you from eliminating junk food on your own. If you have unresolved emotional issues, the effects of hypnosis may wear off rather quickly & you will soon resume overeating.) Suggestion hypnosis is actually best suited to improve athletic skills, enhance sales ability, achieve temporary physical relaxation, improve memory, and reduce some pain. The hypnotist helps you deal with issues where you need stronger motivation, better focus, & some improved skills. Hypnotic suggestions, however, are not therapy and can never be used successfully to remediate significant emotional or physical problems. The hypnotherapist, on the other hand, primarily uses hypnosis to perform regression therapy which means taking a person back in time while in hypnosis to discover the causes of their present difficulties. When done correctly by a well trained professional, this is a very effective method of remediating many difficulties. An occasional problem with this method is that going back in time can be very painful if one must revisit the traumatic events of a person's life. In addition, individuals seeking help usually want to correct just one or two problems when many are actually present. Too often, hypnotherapists go along with this abbreviated treatment plan, and the patient is left with many difficulties that should have been, but are not, remediated. To correct more than one problem, the individual must go for separate therapy sessions to remediate each difficulty that needs to be corrected. This is called "one issue" therapy and is sometimes done in weekly remedial steps. While much faster than psychological therapy, extensive one issue therapy for many issues and difficulties can extend over a prolonged period of time. Another limiting factor in hypnotherapy is that the education and training of hypnotherapists varies a great deal, and some are far better therapists than others. Dr. Kearney is the originator of a number of very effective self-healing procedures, the most prominent of which is"Self-healing In Inner Awareness". To do this method of self-healing, eah person learnsall of the healing concepts & procedures while in "deep relaxation" instead of hypnosis. This type of relaxation is easier for most people to achieve than trance states and is exceptionally comfortable. The inner mind feels safe, and the deep relaxation causes the inner mind to be highly attentive, focused, and able to learn & remember all the steps of self-healing. Once learned, the inner portions of the mind perform the entire process of self-healing while the individual is asleep or, if desired, in deep relaxation. If you visit a health specialist, you expect the practitioner to help you address all of the physical problems that she/he discovers. You never go to get partial or incomplete treatment. The advantage of self-healing in inner awareness is that the procedure is comprehensive; the inner mind knows and corrects everything that needs to be improved no matter when it occurred in a person's life. Nothing is omitted by the iner mind. Despite the fact that all inner difficulties are addressed, healing is quite rapid compared to other methods of healing. Since healing of all inner, personal, and physical difficulties is done while asleep or in dep relaxation, healing occurs at a comfortable time and never interferes with your daily life. While healing is ongoing, you are able to monitor your own progress, and you will know when all inner difficulties, personal issues, and physical disorders have been significantly improved, corrected, and healed. In addition, broad life understandings are developed bringing greater personal insight and self-knowledge. Both the practical and spiritual understanding and guidance that you need at this time in your life will come to you through the higher awareness of the iner mind. Supplemental self-healing methods, used after healing is accomplished, allow for personal transformation to meet changing life circumstances, to remain healthy, and to keep each person's inner life in a harmonious state in the future. For all of the aforementioned reasons, self-healing in inner awareness is preferred over the earlier methods of hypnosis & hypnotherapy. |
