• Natural Healing In Inner Awareness

Injure your body, and what happens? The body repairs itself, just as it was designed to do by nature. If you cut yourself, or break an arm, your body has the natural built in capacity to heal the cut, and repair the break. If you get an infection, the immune system removes the germs from your body and restores damaged tissue. If you get a flu virus or cold virus, the immune system removes them from your body. There is no question that mother nature has a built in mechanism to repair our bodies & restore our health.

If we damage our bodies severely, such as in an auto accident, then the body's repair mechanism needs a little help. In a case where the damage overwhelms the body's repair mechanism, then we might need some outside assistance like suturing or stitches, or surgery, or strong antibiotics, or physical therapy. After these things are implemented, then the body's natural repair system does the rest of the work; it heals us and restores our body to proper health and wellness.

Besides the injured body, what about our other human elements- our thoughts, our feelings, our memories, our beliefs? These are all part of our natural makeup. Suppose we encounter difficulties & tragedies in life that damage these elements. Suppose our experiences cause us to have painful feelings, troubled thoughts & worry, or sorrowful memories, or frightening beliefs. Is there a natural built in repair mechanism that will restore, correct and heal our feelings, thoughts, memories & beliefs? In the history of healing, it has always been assumed that the mind cannot heal itself without professional guidance and extended therapy.

The doctor's research has revealed some break-through information and concepts regarding healing our inner difficulties. His studies and clinical therapy have shown that, indeed, the mind is designed by nature to heal itself, just like the body heals itself. Some portions of our mind can be hurt by uncomfortable life experiences, and this is much like getting a broken bone. Fortunately, however there are other portions of the mind that do not become injured. These particular portions of the mind are the healing parts of the inner mind. We have also learned that the inner mind does all of this natural healing inside of itself without our being consciously aware of the actual process of healing. The best way to describe it is that this deep healing is occuring just within the inner awareness of the mind. Studying the mind has also revealed that our emotional and cognitive (thought) discomforts are actually subtle energy as well as physical elements stored inside of our body. In addition, the causes of those discomforts are also stored in the body. And the healing segments of the mind are able to determine the exact causes of our inner discomforts. Then using its natural abilities the mind goes about healing eliminating and healing the inner elements that are causing your depression or anxiety, and does so each and every day. For example, if you are suffering from depression or anxiety, the mind is able to locate those areas of discomfort inside of you, and then will find the causes of that inner discomfort, and then heal each of those deep causes over time.

If our mind can & does heal itself naturally, how is it that we still have things like depression, anxiety, troubled thoughts, painful memories, and discouraged beliefs? Sometimes, the healing parts of the inner mind are not able to perform all the healing necessary to remove those discomforts completely. That's because our life experiences are so difficult or so prolonged that they overwhelm us with a great many damaged feelings, highly troubled thoughts & very painful memories. It all becomes too much for the mind's healing mechanism to handle, far too much for us to heal on a daily basis. So additional help is needed, just like additional care is needed after being severely injured in an auto accident.
