Self-healing in inner awareness is all about a
joyous pregnancy, staying healthfully pregnant, & going through an
exciting and joyous birthing experience without discomfort or
complications. Early in the pregnancy, self-healing helps prospective
mothers bond earlier & more effectively with their babies. It
creates confidence and positive attitudes about pregnancy, the birthing
process, first-time parenting, and motherhood. Self-healing reduces
morning sickness, breast tenderness, backache, cramps, and food
cravings. It eliminates stress, balances mood swings, and, later on,
helps position the baby for birth.
Healing therapy studies have
established that the unborn baby is aware of the mother's emotional
feelings both during pregnancy and the birthing process. The mother's
feelings are apparently transmitted to the child through the molecules
of emotion (polypeptides) which travel between mother & child
through their common blood circulation. Therefore it is essential that
self-healing be used to help eliminate maternal stress, any troubling
feelings, fears, inner stress, and uncomfortable thoughts which are
perceived & absorbed by the child. Additionally troubled emotions,
marital unhappiness, and fearful dreams, that are known to cause
miscarriages & premature births, can be resolved with calming
self-healing.
Natural birthing using deep relaxation, is
an excellent way of having a child. Women are taught deep self-relaxation.
This relaxation which is practiced daily keeps the prospective mom in
continual relaxation. This enhances all aspects of the pregnancy &
deeply relaxes the body. The uterus remains nicely relaxed so the child
will more easily assume the head down position needed for birth. The
deep relaxation builds the woman's self-confidence about birthing, and
even strengthens the bond between mother & child. Deep relaxation is
then used very successfully to eliminate uncomfortable physical
sensations during the delivery so pain killing drugs, or being
"knocked out", are completely unnecessary. Deep relaxation is
also used to facilitate breathing & readily promote "loving
contractions" during the birth. The delivery occurs with the uterus
in the best state of muscular tone so that there is never excessive
muscle cramping & a need for intense pushing. While birthing,
mothers are more confident, initiate more comfortable contractions,
causing a briefer birthing experience with less fatigue, no side effects
from drugs, followed by a much quicker recovery. Thus the delivery is
more comfortable & a truly joyous experience for mother & child.
Then at home with the baby, deep relaxation helps with daily fatigue, improves
maternal confidence, permits a comfortable sleep schedule, builds
mother-child rapport, and rapid physical healing with less risk of the
"after-baby blues".
